Experience

Working with Megan

When you choose to book with me, you'll find you are dealing with a very down to earth personality.  I love people and I am cheerful but not giddy. I grew up with 3 brothers, lived in various places, and frankly have seen it all.  I don't get phased by anything and tend to just roll with it.  I can quickly problem solve most situations and I am very dependable.

When booking a regular session like family, newborns, or seniors, it is just a couple of clicks on my booking site and you are all set. You get to pick your date, location(s), and answer a few questions to let me get to know you.  Then you will get reminder emails about your session and tips and tricks guide to help make your session as perfect as we can make it!

If you are booking a wedding, you will have a pre-contract meeting with me to see if I fit your needs and style. If you decide to book with me at the end of that initial meeting, you can sign a contract and get your date reserved.  Then a second meeting will take place.  Typically this meeting will entail going over the wedding day dream list, making a schedule for photography based on needs/desires, and generally helping you think through all the details of the day and what to expect.  After this meeting, I will send out a photo schedule for you to give to all parties participating in the wedding day portraits and activities.  As we get closer to the wedding, we can meet again if there are changes or if you just need reassurance that the day will be awesome!

I look forward to working with you!

FAQ

01. How do we book you for the wedding?

First, if you have a wedding date already, check with my availability to ensure that I am not wasting your precious planning time in finding a photographer for your special day.  Next, we sit down and have a very relaxed meeting to discuss all your dreams concerning your wedding day and how I can help make those a reality.  If you find I am the style of photographer that you are looking for, you will put down the deposit and we will start putting on paper all the details that will be captured in this unforgettable experience!

02. Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes!  Destination weddings are so fun and I love to experience new locations and challenges!  Travel fees are put on top of the cost of the wedding package and can be discussed during the initial meeting.  If the wedding is more than 4 hours away, overnight accommodations will be included in travel costs.

03. How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?

After you book, we will sit down and get all the nitty gritty, play by play, wedding day details mapped out, from the getting ready to the ceremony, reception, and send off.  A big part of those details are family photos.  We will compile a very specific list of family members, groupings, variety of shots, etc, and have a shot list that I will work from on the big day.  We will also decide what time of day will be best for these shots and will create a schedule that you can send out to all family members so that they know where to go and when to be there!

04. Do you offer engagement and or Bridal sessions?

Yes!  Engagement sessions are a great way to try out your prospective wedding photographer.  It gives you an idea of the energy and vibe they will bring to your big day.  This is also a great opportunity for me to get to know you and get a feel for what is important to you in your photos so I can better serve you.
